Can someone please help me with this. I got a 97 with a 98 engine in it. usein the 97 intake, go tthe 98 injectors on it and 97 coil. it seems like its onley runing on 3 banks. I put a new cam synco and sensor in this moreing got it lined up seems to be runing a tad bit better but still aint right. Can someone tell me if anything eles is diff on this engine from the 97? Allso the bolt thro the wireing harness that goes to the computer does it do anything beside hold the wireing in place?

It's possible that the 98 injectors are larger than the stock 97's. In that case, the 97's ECU wouldn't be able to compensate for the difference in size. I'd triple check that the cam synchro was installed with the engine @ top dead center though. There is no way to do it by feel at this point. You'll have to turn the crank by hand. You can search/google "Top Dead Center" for a better explanation. If the alignment of the synchro is even slightly off, it can throw off the timing for everything.
