So i got my doubler back together and working but seems to have some shifting issues.

With the lo-case in 2hi and the tcase in 2hi t doesn't seem to hold gear and pops out softly and violently sometimes. With both in double low occoasionally (10% of the time) in real stressfull circumstances it wants to pop out. Is it a shifter concern, not holding the cases in gear? or do i have an alignment problem inside the lo-range case?

Hmmmm. My doubler box in low it would some times pop out under hard load. I figured it out to be the shifter as I didn’t have a positive way of locking it in place like the stock mechanical shifter does. To solve the problem I went low tech. I have a bungee cord that hooks to the low range box shifter to keep some preload on the shifter to keep it in gear. Been running that setup since I installed the doubler with great results.

As for it popping out of gear in high, I have never had that happen. I would try and rework your shifter to have better positive engagement.

To me that sounds like a shaft alignment issue causing the shift collars to walk out of engagement.

the shaft the shift fork rides up and down on?

I know with my stock case I had to roll the factory bracket down a bit to keep it from popping out in 4hi and 4low. Allowed for better engagement. The small bolt on the tranny mount was/is slotted to allow for adjustment. I don't know how you have yours setup, but it may be something to look into.

No the two cases might not be aligned with each other, leaving the planetary gear & shaft cocked at a slight angle. This could cause the shift collar to "walk" off the gear splines under load (sortof like a manual transmission that pops out of gear due to a bad or loose input bearing allowing too much shaft movement).
