There's ONE option for aftermarket tie rods for the new rangers.

They are real nice.... but they're like 800$ lol.

I would rather throw TRE'a at it on a trail than steering racks.

I'm sure there's quite a bit of.. space I guess.. between breaking a rack and wrecking TRE's. The stockers seem extremely weak.. take your truck mildly off road and see a noticeable difference in toe when you get home apparently.

I'm pretty sure the failures out there were pushed harder then most folks will ever go.

Yeah, I am not worried about it.

I have heard about it and had the wheels off over the weekend. I marvelled that my '85 with 110hp, open front diff and 205's has half again bigger tre' s than this thing that can come with 300+hp, front locker and 35's.

And yeah bigger isn't better but tie rod failures are not common at all on the older trucks with all the crazy crap people do to them.

40s would crush those stock TREs I'd think though. Stock trucks who knows. I'd like to see them in person because the photos look so bad

Price shift is due to the fact that there WAS a full ( 32 gallons ) tank of Gas, but they had to siphon it out to bring the price down and use the gas in another vehicle or two.

Smallest bit of 83-97 TTB RBV steering:

20mm or about 13/16"



Smallest bit of 2021+ Bronco steering:

14mm or about 9/16" of an inch

I'm dying laughing because that's so correct

Late '00's Snapper LT300 steering:

15.5mm or 5/8"...



And for mileage 60mph is a definite sweet spot*. When I was running 70+/- today it was about 19-20mpg. When it dropped to a 55mph speed limit (I ran 60) I reset it and for half an hour in rolling hills it was doing really good.



Flat terrain where my Ranger gets its 17mpg (like the middle of Illinois) I bet this thing would be leaning hard on 25mpg, especially if it was running light.

*exact accuracy of the counter thing is as of yet unconfirmed.

And that was on "Normal" mode, I forgot about the "Eco" mode.

The factory fuel economy meter has been pretty accurate on the last 6 or so Fords we’ve owned.
