Crew cabs are nice, I would be happy with one.

My F-150 is under the weather at the moment so the Ranger is pulling daddy duty. Less than ideal (extended cab) just got even less than ideal (standard cab)

Dog can't come to work with me anymore and car pooling is totally off the table.

Yep. He just sleeps in the corner unless some he knows will give him attention comes in.

I do have bucket seats out of an Eddie Bauer BII...

I mentioned her riding in the back, even offered my sound deadening ear muffs and mentioned that the topper side windows open. No dice.

Heck, it would probably be more polite than riding in her new Bronco with the doors and top off down the highway.
