I have noticed.

I casually looked at a '16 F-150 last week, it was white but otherwise equipped just how I would order it (crew cab longbed, 5.0 XL...) They wanted $26k and it only had 100,000 miles.

I have high mileage maintenance fun now... without payments.

My wife was upset I wouldn't even talk to them about it, it was getting the stickers pulled off Saturday and is gone now.

I just kinda assumed the automatic variant would get the 10R80 like the Ranger, I guess we are getting a 10R60.

Well they use it in the Explorer right. That is probably as heavy as the Bronco and I don't know for sure... but the towing numbers are most likely better too.

Explorer is rated to tow 5k+... so there goes that theory.

Maybe they could rename it A4P05 (A4PieceOfShit). Seems like that A4LD build quality continued on through several years after it was no longer called an A4LD, it carried over into the 5 speeds too in later Rangers and Explorers, they just added another gear and called it a day it seems.

Maybe in the next generation Ranger and Bronco they'll put in the 50R1000...and give them a 20k towing capacity LOL.
