Not the manual...

Just remembered that. Manual is a manual though, shouldn't be too hard to figure out how to make one.

Now you’ve done.

It’s going to have some electronic shift lockout or servo assisted clutch that is going to be prone to failing.

thanks.

Somebody else's problem, we are getting the 10spd.

You think the mustang mach-E is sacrilege yet this is existed and no one did anything about it.

That happened, and we all let it happen.
Don't be too hard on the Mustang II. While it certainly didn't have the looks of its predecessors or successors, it was a tough little bastard. I put one through total hell in the late 80's and early 90's. I once busted a piston about 30 miles into a 120 mile round trip on the interstate on that little 2.3. I made it to the place I was going and back home. Total smoke show in the process. When I shut it off it basically seized up. It had less than a quart of oil in it when I pulled it apart.

Luckily for me, the trip was to get parts for a rebuild, LOL. Still had to make another trip for the pistons though.

If I could find one in decent shape cheap, I wouldn't mind building a little sleeper hotrod out of one, just for kicks. I don't think that's a real possibility though.

Reminds me of the Ram T-Rex of 1990's, saw it at the state fair and I was in love.

I'm not saying it was totally a bad car, it sure was ugly as sin though. It just should not have worn the mustang name, like the new mach e. The mustang badge should only be on vehicles worthy of that honor. Kinda like a special forces tab on your uniform, you need to earn it by being badass!

The one upside of the mustang 2 was it's front end parts were easily cannibalized for other stuff. Mustang 2 disc brakes are easy to swap onto older cars. My 65 has mustang 2 brakes up front.

My Mustang II was a very good looking car compared to that boat from '73 which called itself a Mustang. My '78 with the stock 302, had better power to weight than the '73 with 351 (non-HO). And after the engine was updated with Australian closed chamber heads and appropriate intake, it went pretty good.

If Ford had stopped its pony car like Chevrolet stopped the Camaro, we wouldn't have Mustang today.

The Mach 1's and in general the fastbacks were not too bad.

With the right stance/tire combo a 71-73 can look downright viscous like no other generation of Mustang in a "nail, meet hammer" kind of way.
