4x4 tranny for a duratec sounds good to me. No interest in buying 2 transmissions and swapping internals. Creeper gear is just a bonus.

And two overdrive gears. Should hold about 400 ft lbs of torque to boot.

Not sure what the take rate on the manuals will be... but I'm sure there will be some. Ford wizardry won't let you sasquatch a manual... so many folks have bailed to the 10 speed automatic for the M210 front end with a locker and 35's.

Honestly...

If i didnt have my big camper to tote around....id be in line for one.

Base models start at 28k according to ford.com, so figure low 30s isnt bad. Plus i like the "basic" look of the base model.

Saying and doing are two different things. The biggest shortcoming witb the new bronco is the lack of a solid axle...but the general looks and attitude make up for it. I wouldnt expect it to wheel like a 79, but i also wouldnt be embarassed to be seen in it like most other ford stuff in the post I beam era.

Pushrod and over 400CID....whats not to like? If it had a carburator and a distributor itd be pure perfection...but i guess thats to much to ask for these days.

They had a company who was completely restoring and modifying those but it was extremely expensive.
