New granddaughter due to close for comfort... and recent personal development is unfortunately gonna leave me sitting this one out.

Not in the cards for me. I'm still trying to make LBL and Carlisle work. Adding another trip outside of these and one other vacation just is too many things to juggle. Plus, the water heater developed a steady trickle. There goes a good chunk of change...

Ok. I'll do it. This will be a "Curious Hound Lite" adventure. No dog. Traveling on 2 wheels. @85_Ranger4x4 , save a space for a motorcycle and tent next to you at Smorr. I sent a reservation request for the 19th and 20th at Smorr. I'll order my expo tickets tonight and figure out an intermediate camping spot somewhere NW of Nashville for the 18th and 21st. Tomorrow, I'll tell my boss I'm gonna play hooky.

Either truck would take about $450 in fuel. The bike should only need about $100. I just ordered a new back tire for it. That will need to be Installed before the trip.

Received my confirmation to camp at SMORR and have my Moore Expo ticket. Changed my mind about an intermediate campsite on the way out and back. Think I'll just find something, campsite, cheap motel, etc. when I feel ready to stop for the day. That way, if I'm feeling good and enjoying the ride, I can go farther. Plus, I'm not sure what route I want to take. Backroads will add a few hours and would be about the same mileage. Interstates would be less riding. But I don't want to be on the interstates around heavy traffic areas like Asheville, Knoxville and Nashville. Might make up my own hybrid route and try to save it in Google maps.

I was wanting to attend. But it falls on the same weekend as Georgia Expeditions Spring AVR. I've been friends with David the owner for years so that takes priority. Have fun and be safe. Look forward to some pictures

New tire for motorcycle arrived yesterday- 5 days earlier than expected. Installed it today and changed the oil and cleaned/lubed/tensioned the chain. Tomorrow, I'll finish wiring the dash cam system and the bike should be ready for the trip.

Oh, come on, now! For Pete's sake. I have to get my winter coat out again for this trip? I mean, cold is better than rain. But I was looking forward to a pleasant spring camping trip.

It will be warm in Georgia hahaha. But hate I'm missing out. I'm planning on exploring the area during the day. Then be back in time for group activities in the evening. Hope you guys have a blast up there.

It was 80 here today, supposed to be colder here than there next weekend.
