mods

Puting in the 2.3 turbo engine. I'm currently working on installing an '88 dash in my '84 so I'll have a tach.

Mine Is My 4" Suspension Lift But Thats Also All Ive Done

It's not a good idea to post your illegal activities in a public location. It's a Federal crime in the US and Canada to disable a cat.

??? Really? huh, didn't know that, on my last (now stolen and written off) Dakota I put a flowmaster 50 on and went brought it to an exhaust shop to get the cat removed. after fighting with the exhaust to put the muffler in I figured $40 to have the cat ripped out and have tube with quality welds (before knew how to weld) put in was worth it. The dude at the exhaust shop didn't say anything about no cat being an issue, and he was the owner/operator!

Pacesetter headers are the best of my mods. Don't notice much power difference but I'm getting 27+mpg now with 2.9, 5spd, 33s and 4.10s. Hope the Warn 8000 and bumper I just adapted don't take it all back.

well i really dont care bout legal i mean if they come to belfair there going to find a million other peoples vehicles which are illegal, and im not looking for performance if i was looking performance i would put a 302 in it, and the stereo was my second mod that ive doen

well mine is a 85 bll. i've done the 4.0 swap,3" body lift, explorer leaf's and front coils with the f-150 factory spacer's and running 31's. lot's of other stuff later

First was the new rear locker, then the tires, and right now I'm in the middle of a total rebuild of the 2.8 plus flowmaster exhaust

My best mod was definately the 7 pin trailer wiring harness. Pulling a 3500 lb trailer with a 2.3 L is like night and day stopping with trailer brakes. :icon_thumby:

My entire 5.0 swap. Night and day from the 3.slow I had before.

tough choice:
body lift
27 gal aux gas tank
4.56 gears w/rear Detroit locker
treadwright tires
duraspark conversion
5 speed tranny swap
explorer springs
bed liner inside the cab, along rockers, and inside the bed

hmmm... idk, you choose 'cause i like them all!

Duraspark, the bodylift was fun, and my bumper is neat. But everytime I start it and it runs smooth it is great. Granted the 1/4" of slop (and two unknown parts inside scraping on each other) in my stock distributer probably didn't help anything.

Loosing the bald car tires for mud tires would be a close second, the places I can go now are amazing. I am the first in my family to get a set BTW, if that explains my amazement.

This poor fool didn't have nuthin. :buttkick:

302 swap trumps all that easily... although the bodylift really helped pull it off.

Its an old thread, but it is on a good subject :icon_thumby:
