Hey all. Figured its time to start making the truck my own now and have made a list of things i wanting to do to it.
-Rims/Tires
-Programer (firm up the autos shifts mainly)
-K&N drop in (not worried bout the performance but saves buying filters all the time and i always have a cleaning kit around for the bikes K&N)
-Flowmaster 40 series muffler
-And a roof level cap.
But it brought up a few questions once i started looking for some goodies. The rims i want are American Racing 767 black steelies in the stock 15" x 8" sizing for the summer (i will run the stockers for winter). But if i throw these rims on is it gona trip my dummy tire preasure light on in the dash?? if so how can i get around this short of pulling the bulb??
Second For a programer what ya all recomend. Like i said i not too worried about power but mostly just want to firm up the shifts a bit, 2nd to 3rd shift sucks unless on full throttle.
As for the exhaust i pretty much covered i dont like most the aftermarket cat back kits so i figure i make my own with a 40series flowmaster muffler.
But for the cap i need some help. Never put a cap on a truck before and figured id ask to see if their is any brand you all have had luck with. Baiscally i want to have it stay level with the cab for astetics but just want it for the added DRY storage area ( i own a open heavy built utility trailer when i need more room).
