There is a silver box with a bunch of wires attached to it mounted under the right hand side panel in front of the door in my B2. I'm not sure exactly what it is but I initially guessed that it was an amplifier for the rear speakers :P I disconnected it just to see what would happen and my truck would no longer start: clearly it's not an amplifier! The engine turned over but it seemed like no fuel was getting to the engine. I guess I could assume that it's somehow controlling the fuel pump, but I'm kind of curious to see what it actually is. It has the model number "1304" written on it and it is manufactured by "Blue Streak Electronics".

Passenger side kickpanel just in front of the passenger side door? That would be the PCM!!

Powertrain Control Module.

Controls all engine functions.

Oh, well then I guess it's a good idea that I didn't just snip all the wires like I was going to do in the first place. >_<

Extremely good idea!

New to this. dooo!

Best idea for any of these trucks (Rangers, B2's, Explorers): Search this sight before cutting anything. You will find your answers here. I have done to many cut now, think laters on my B2. Using my Explorer as a fresh start.
