2006 ranger sport, 59000 Mi. Started missing friday and the engine light came on about a block away from Autozone. I stopped in to have them check the the codes, but their code reader wouldn't register anything. He told me to check the PCM fuse under the hood which I did as the manual dictated by first disconnecting the battery. The fuse was fine, so I put it back together. As I suspected, the miss is still there, but since I disconnected the battery, the engine light isn't on. I'm wondering why they couldn't get a reading (did they have the wrong reader?) In addition, why isn't the engine light on? It only took about 3 blocks for me to notice the miss and the light to come on on friday. I have driven it around for 3 days now and no light yet. It needs fixed, but how would you know where to start with no codes to check? Any Ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!
