ever since the fuel pump on my 99 flex fuel whent bad ive had a miss on cylender 5. i have replaced the coil pack and plugs and wires. i even tried injector cleaner (that stuff never works i was desprite) and it didn't work. a little help guys!

thanks
trs kicks ass

are you getting spark ? juss cuz you threw new parts at it doesnt mean you found the problem. Check for spark, if so, check to make sure the injector is working.

if you have been using e-85 and gasoline, try reading ozzwoman9s post from earlier this year.she had similar issues, and it may help you on what not to buy.fwiw.

i have spark i have never tried e-85. i will try the swaping of the injectors. thanks alot guys

i swapped the injectors and the code is still reading miss on cylender 5 its really pissing me off i tried talking to the service department at the local ford dealer and talking to them is like is like trying to win an argument with my girlfriend they are retads
help please

compression test, plug wire inspection/resistance check, coil resistance check...

Hope your not going through what I did. My #5 cyl. was misfiring too. First, changed plugs wires...that wasn't it. Second, changed the injecter...that wasn't it. Finially I took it in the the factory shop and they said it was the head, so they replaced both heads saying the other was going out too (it's only got 77,000 miles)....well that was it (costing me $1950:pissedoff:) Just got it out of the shop yesterday...I'm just glad it's fixed though.

ill have to try a commpression test thats the only thing that i haven't tried im hoping thats not it thanks for all the help guys

i did a compression test and my cyl. 5 is only pushing 20psi. time for a valve job. thanks alot guys

have the heads magnifluxed to check for leaks...3.0's have been known to crack heads from time to time.
