Misfire and rough idle

I have been looking around and have familiarized myself with the common causes of a misfire. My truck has been idling rough for quite some time, I kind of just got used to it and flat out didn't have the money to try and search its gremlins out. Now the CEL is on and its throwing a code saying misfire on cylinder #2, however the CEL comes and goes. I don't really notice it running much different with the light on VS off. Any quick thoughts on what the issue could be? I am hoping for the coil pack being bad and I haven't had time to check the plugs yet, but those and the wires are about a year old.

Also anyone know the specs on testing the the coil pack?

Just might be a bad/loose ignition wire. You may be able to switch with another wire to see if miss changes location. Also check plug condition before assuming coil.
