Military Status won't change

Even though I selected Military Veteran, the banners still show Military Active. The optional title changed just fine, but the banner isn't for some weird reason.

It could very well be. While cell phones are great in many respects, they aren't quite ready to replace a regular computer. I had cleared the cache and restarted the cell phone before I even made a post about it, but it still showed up. It lookes perfectly fine now that I'm on a computer, or the forum software had time to process and think about the changes made.
