if I do mount the radiator there I will cut out the roof and put in a functional roof scoop to direct air to the rad.

as always nice work, and i have a question, where you gonna race it too? i didnt think they had prerunner races anywhere around us

yea thats what i figured. that would be kickass out here too, nothing like that around here. not even a set of fiberglass fenders, let along the cage, fuel cell, long travel, all the other expensive fancy stuff. im sure we will have a good time with that truck and one of mine someday lol

added some bracing this morning and a spare tire carrier

bed cage to do list:
mount rad and fan
limit straps
shocks
gussets
tail lights
some other small odds and ends but the bed cage is pretty much done

Looks good! I'm thinking about doing the same thing, just mine would be more for looks than functionality. Same color truck too.

out of build money for a few weeks so I started doing a few things that I can do for free like porting my extra set of heads, these will be getting treated to a set of 1.94/1.6 valves 1.7 full roller rockers, girdle and guides

cool, im gonna try to get another set for my sled and send out your way

Very nicely done. I will try and find a spare set of heads and go to town on them. did you take any pics of doing or just the finish project?

I ended up doing a pretty extensive port job
mostly finished exhaust ports

didnt get any pics of doing it, just picked up the die grinder and went at it,
these heads are eventually going to the machine shop for new valve guides, hardened exhaust seats, 1.94/1.60 valves, roller rockers, springs, guides and a gurdle

I decided to fill in the factory tail light location so I made some fiberglass fillers, still needs a little body work
