On gravel I'd drag your dually around like nothing. Tug of wars don't prove anything, it's all about the gearing and transferring power to the ground, engine has very little to do with it.

Thats what I'm thinking. A few thousands pounds and the dually would rule champ. Now vs. no weight, I go for who ever has the 4x4 and fully locked.
 
Hahaha funny you post that I found one of the videos by davesfarm (yuotube user) the other day and been watching them non stop for around 3 days. there is around 700 of them. So cool and funny shit he does.

Honestly...Engine power has nothing to do with a pull off.... A 6K lb truck with a 150HP engine would outpull a corvette...
 
it is torque, gearing, and traction.
 
Whoever has the most weight over the driving wheels will win. A stock 4x4 Ranger will pull a 2wd dually around anywhere because a dually of that era is maybe 2,800# over the driving wheels and a stock Ranger is 3,500# over the driving wheels.
