In my 2001 ranger, I want to paint the passenger side air-bag cover with Chalk-Paint.

How could I paint it on, would I have to sand it down, or could I just paint straight on the cover?

**I always have my pass bag off anyways.

i would probably lightly sand, it would get ride of the texture and make it stick better
