I believe quite strongly in gun control, because there are way too many people who shouldn't be allowed guns... meanwhile, in the American system, most of those people can get a gun in only a few minutes.
When guns are outlawed only outlaws will have guns.
You sir have shown that you have a poor understanding of the "American system" that you reference. For me, a law abiding citizen, to legally acquire any chemical powered fire arm from a retail establishment, will take at least a week. That span of time varied by state and local laws, but it is very rarely "a few minutes".
Now don't get me wrong. I too am quite an avid supporter of gun control. I like the Swiss system. Under Swiss federal law all citizens required to take and pass a gun safety course and show some proficiency with a fire arm by age 16. Additionally ALL households are required by law to own at LEAST one gun, many own more. Switzerland is the only European country that remained neutral in all of the continent's major wars of the last century. They also have the lowest rate of violent crime in the world at almost 0%. This is because, ad see if you can keep up here, EVERYONE OWNS A GUN AND KNOWS HOW TO USE IT, AND EVERYONE ELSE KNOWS IT.
As said before, guns are the great equalizer.
