not much going on today and didnt have much to do, so i thought id see what i could do with paint. this is kinda what i want when its done. i kinda hack job lowered it lol and gave it a black hood and tried getting rid of the vinyl. not very good but its not bad for my first time messin with paint

Not bad at all... :) how are you finding working in paint? pretty easy isnt it?

its not horrible, but my mouse is the part thats really killin me... its seen better days lol.

ball mouse? if so i can see that being a prob... did you play with your settings for the mouse?

yeah its a ball mouse and im not exactly the best with computers so i dont have a clue how to change the settings. the fact that i can even get online still blows my mind

Have you cleaned the lint and gunk in the mouse? if not try this.... flip over the mouse, you will see the turn indicator, turn it and take the ball out. you will see 2 litle wheels, these are the direction wheels. they are notorius for getting gummed up. get a pair of tweezers and start pulling at the gunk till the wheel is free of the lint and gunk. this might help out your mouse prob.

oooo smoooooth... .......... much better thanks lol

that seemed too fast of a fix.... did you scrape the wheels? or notice a line of gunk attatched to them>? they should be flat, grab a pin and give the wheel a scrape going across it... did gunk get lifted?

yeah alot of crap came out of it. those wheels had a nice nasty line on them. its alot better but when i try moving it slow for detail on a corner or like around the wheel wells for example it seems to go up and then over, i cant get it to curve like i want.

what kind of mouse would be good for working on this kind of stuff? is there a specific kind and what other types of programs are there?

I just use a usb optical mouse, pretty basic mouse any eletric store should have one, I have seen them on sale up here in canada for 9.99. as for programs you lost me there. no idea what you are asking. In paint did you go to 800% zoom in the settings? if so making arcs shouldn't be a problem for in pixel each dot covers a pixel and there is no real need to try and follow precise lines.

as for moving slow, what i do is set the mouse settings to the fastest setting. this seems to give a bit more control. try going to start menu, (bottom left corner) then find settings control panel, then go into mouse... you will see the settings there.

I have to run so if you need any more help i will be back home in a few hours.
