Mazda/Ranger shock interchangeable?

didn't see anything in the tech library, so here goes:

are the front shocks the same between the Mazda 4x4 and the Ranger 4x4's in model years 1987-93? thanks in advance!

The early Mazda B-series trucks bear NO mechanical relationship
to Ford Rangers until 1994 when the Mazda is simply a "rebadged" Ranger.
