So I've recently upgraded my 2.9l, 1991 Ranger Custom standard cab 4x4 transmission from a Mitsubishi fm146, to an M50d-R1 transmission. The swap went beautifully. My only confusion is about the pins for the neutral switch and the reverse light switch. The transmission I bought didn't come with the pins, so I ordered them and installed them, but when I installed the reverse light pin, the transmission won't go into 1st or second gear. Are there different lengths for the pins for different years of the m50d-r1? Any insight would be much appreciated.
