Been going back and forth deciding- i wont be lifting or offroading- i like the fact the 31's will give a very slight lift by itself - my truck is an 06 b3000 dual sport 2wd stock 4.10 gears 235/75/15 wrangler rts from factory and was happy with the ride and replaced tires and bought the rts's again. Time for tires again and i want to go to 31x10.5x15's- been looking at the wrangler authorties- no interest in the bfgs but fearfull of a few things as far as the 2 size upgrade and the type of tire im looking at .

im getting 20mpg and this has not changed since new. - how much will i be loosing in mpg

how is the ride ? ive heard excellent to wobble at intersate speeds- we have 70mph speed limits

dont care about noise - just dont want a sloppy death wobble or shimmy

my truck in pic &im using the stock rims shown - just never saw another b series owner with 31's to ask .

i also do haul the occasional motorcycle - had a 1400 intruder and 600 shadow in bed at same time last week . dont want any issues of rub or scary ride with 900+ lbs in bed.
so 235's again or 31's ????

According to the tire and gear chart 31's will put you in the range for best overall performance with 4.10 gears. 235/75R15 tires are a shade under 29 inches in diameter, which actually has you just inside the high torque range. 31's should leave you plenty of clearance in your wheel wells, and based on the gearing, your MPG might even improve. I run 31x10.5x15's on mine and have no wobble or near death issues on the highway. Stock suspension with 3 full turns on the torsion bar bolts. Plenty of room to account for a full payload.

Go ahead and upgrade!

Had 31x10.50x15 on my 98 3.0 2wd. Had 3.73 gears and still got 19-20mpg. With 4.10 you should see 20mpg or better on the highway just because the 3.0 runs more efficient at higher RPMs 2k-3k.

Youll be more than fine with clearence. youll hardly notice a difference. Most 31x10.50 are actually 30.50 tall. Those goodyear RT/S that you have are 28.90 tall. Not that big a jump at all.

I've had 31's on my B4000, for over a decade. No issues.

Actually got my new 31's this morning. I went with 31x10.5x15 wrangler authority's

very happy so far

should i stick with stock air pressure or bump it up a bit

factory is like 30fr 35 rear for the 235's

Looks good. A subtle difference.

32psi front and between 26psi and 28psi for the rear. If you drive around unloaded 26psi is what youll want to get even tire wear. Anything over that and youll just wear out the center tread on those rear tires.
