I just bought a 03 B4000 2wd 5spd. Just have a few questions about which exhaust to buy. first off im looking to save fuel and second to gain some HP.
Should i go with single or dual?
Split rear or rear side exit?
1.75", 2" or 2.5" piping?
Stainless steel or Aluminum?
thanks.

what i put in my b4000 is a 31 inch cherry bomb. I had to do a little bit of modifying the flanges, but it fits. It doesn't have any air restrictions so i gained hp, and it def saves gas mileage from stock or the big names like flowmaster, and cherry bombs are a lot cheaper than stock. i bought mine for $45

Cherry BOMB ok. so you kept the stock exhaust piping and cats? and just replace your muffler?

These trucks are so quiet. i would just say no muffler. I cut mine out and welded on a pipe with a 45 bend so it dumps out right before my passenger back tire and it cost me all of about 20 bucks and sounds mean but not obnoxious.

I dont know about you, i dont want my truck to just be loud, i want it to sound good and be able to think when im inside my truck. Im very happy with the cherry bomb i put in my truck. It doesn't restrict air flow to better horsepower and gas mileage. plus it's cheap and it sounds better than my buddys f150 with dual exhaust. To be completely honest, Rangers are not really big enough for duals, even half tons aren't. I would definetly go with the cherry bomb, or maybe even a flowmaster. Flowmasters sounds pretty BA

Yea sounds alright but i think i should stick with a muffler. Without one ill fail my emissions test. Was that your truck in the vid.

My vote is a Flowmaster Original 40 or Super 40, single exit after the right rear tire. 2.5 inch. You can't go wrong with this setup.

Yeah thats my truck. Oh thats right I didnt think about emessions when i commented because i dont have to get tested because of where i live.

thrush welded they sound about like the flowmaster but alot cheaper and i would but a side dump in front of tire duals on a truck like this is just for looks i have this set up on my b3000 and my friend has it on his b4000 and it only cost 60 bucks 40 for muffler and 20 for the pipe
