Mazda B2500 Head Instal Question

I'm about to instal the head on my B2500, and noticed this laying beside the head. Looks like it fell out and it looks important. Before I instal it, what is this part and how to I put it back in and where. Thanks!!

Looks like a valve lifter and a valve spring to me. It would be important.

I see from one of your other posts you've become the owner of a literal basket case. My suggestion is you need a manual that details the disassembly and reassembly of the head. There may be more wrong then what you've noticed. You do not want to start the the engine and have head parts start falling into the cylinder.
