when i get in my truck to crank it up it has to turn over maybe 5 or 6 time before finally cranking up. It started bout an yr ago when i dropped the fuel tank to replace the fuel float and it has been like that since then.

I'd suggest turning the key into the "on" position and let it sit for about 5 seconds, then crank it. See what happens.

Not sure if it could be caused by a semi-weak pump, but I have to do it with my 4.0.. unless I want to crank it for 10 seconds before it starts.

Not necessarily a semi weak pump (could be), but a leaking check valve at the bottom of the pump. Do what Twiz said and turn the key on first, let it build up fuel pressure and then crank and start it and see what happens.
