This little Ranger FAR surpassed my expectations. This thing is a blast. It went everywhere I asked it to, pointed in a direction and went there. I did not get stuck, not even once, but helped extract many. Considering I have a total of 1200$ in total into this project, I couldnt ask for more. So much fun. Got to love a Rangebe
There are more pics coming, and I will post them in show off, but these are just what I took with my cell phone.
headed out
buddy stuck
buddy in a cherokee went to rescue him, he got stuck
Rangebe to the rescue, did not get stuck.
muskag is a terrible substance, like swampy grassy mud with no bottom.
another jeep stuck trying to get another jeep unstuck
I rode on the hood to hook up straps so I wouldnt fill my boots haha
this guy was REALLY stuck
found this on the way
pic by the lake
on some of the trails
at the gravel pits
found some moguls, and decided to see what flex there was. Keep in mine the specs of the rig: explorer coils, 2" washer spacers, sway bars deleted front/rear.
the front actually has a little flex! I was very impressed. Oh and I broke a cab mount haha.
had some more flex left in it, but with all the stock shocks, I was limited.
some dune pics
So put on about 40 miles worth of trail, saw mud, sand, whoops, moguls, gravel, trails, etc. Had a blast, and the Ranger impressed even me.
I cannot emphasize enough, that a good set of tires, and locked front and rear turns any rig into a monster.
Like I said, Ill have more pics tomorrow maybe in show off.
