a good family friend is moving out of state, he bought this explorer new for his wife in '99. they stay in AZ in the winter so the truck has never seen snow, and sits in a heated garage all the time. she hardly drives and it has 17,036 miles on it! i drove it an OMG its MINT! they removed the drivers running board for her to get in/out easier..but its included.

they want $10k for it, but i think we'll get them down to $9K..I think its well worth it, its a once in a life time kinda thing.

99 limited explorer V8 5.0 AWD every option except air ride and backup sensors. and 17k miles!!!

well amazing how things change over a few hours...

this truck was going to be a replacment for my dads '97 V8 awd with 94k miles in perfect condition.

my dad is now in the ICU at the hosptial, he was declared diabetic we never had any idea...hes been throwing up for 5 days now and we finally got awsners today..we dont have health insurance so dpeneding on what we end up spending on hosptial bills we may or may not be able to swing the truck..but i care much more about then my dad then a truck... i'm so sad right now :(

its a DONE DEAL!

the truck is ours, for $8,000...$500 over blue book not bad IMO for a perfect truck!

we will get it once they leave for there new home out of state, at the end of this month.

im so excited!

Looks good. I see someone didn't go in for the tire recall though...

Sorry to hear about your dad.

he says he brought it in and they declined them saying they were not coverd under the recall? idk doesnt really matter we ran them on our '94 explorer and '01 sport trac and never had issues with them. so idk?

Jump on it right quick! That low of miles is hard to find and it's in good shape from what I can see.
Dave

Nice.

The first modifications you should make are new tires and lose the wood grain radio bezel.

They may not have been covered in the first wave of recalls, but Ford ended up recalling all Wilderness ATs on Explorers.

I'd replace them anyway, they are at least nine years old and may be even older than that.

yeah, i dont see why a new set of tires wouldnt be in the books after winter(it will have studded snow tires on for winter)

first mods will be the MAC intake and flowmaster muffler thats on my dads current 97 5.0 explorer, then diamond cut headlights which are in the box in the garage and tint the tails.

i like the woodgrain :)

and thanks for the concern about my dad, hes doing well spent 5 days in the hosptial but is ajusting to life with diabetes i've had to cook almost every meal to make sure he eats and keeps with the proportions...it'll be rough but hes getting thru it!

just sold my dads '97 today for $5,500! man im excited!

we get the new truck at the end of the month...wooohoooo!
