looking at new rims and rubber for my ranger. the question is. will the rims im looking at lower how much i can tow with my truck. the ranger has a max load rating fo 9000 somthing lbs. 5,500 of it can be the towed load leaving the ranger at 4000 somthing lbs. the rims im looking at are rated for a 1600 lbs load per rim. so 4 of them would be a max load of 6,400 lbs. well over the waight of the ranger, but way under its max compasity for towing. would putting these rims on my ranger reduce towing compasity? or would i be fine cause the ranger waighs less then they are rated for?

Towing is also a different thing... The weight when you are towing is not over the rims of your truck they are on their own trailer and the weight is transferred to the tongue which is only a few hundered pounds at the most.

Anyways you should be fine and you can only put like 1000lb's in the bed so your ok there too seeing as you got the bed in the back the rear rims can handle it.

As for tires I would get some 235/75R15's or a standard size like 31's or 30's because they come in a C range load rating or if you have 16's then get some 245'sor 265's in a C or D range
