Max A/C relay

my A/C works just fine but is there a relay for the max A/C blower
when I switch from A/C to Max A/C the blower motor stays the same speed
on my newly accuired FX4 /on my older 2002 when I swithced between the two the motor kicked it up a notch and blew much harder on max A/C

"Max A/C" doesn't change the blower speed, what it does is change the vent from fresh air (outside air) to recirculate (you're hearing the intake vent under the dash open). It sounds like the blend door for that function might be inoperative.

Check the vacuum lines, solenoid and what-not that operate the vent door (the solenoid itself is probably located behind the glove box door, the small-dia hose that runs the system should run through the firewall and be connected to a round black cylindrical object mounted on top of the A/C evap housing under the hood, and from there it goes to the engine vacuum manifold (at least that's how my '90 & '94 are).
