Maverick

I know there’s a separate forum for the maverick but I didn’t want to create an account for one question. Has anyone ordered one? If so, how long has it taken to get it? My wife is interested in one and was told over a year by a dealer.

Ive yet to see one at a local dealership, Im hoping to see one at a auto show in march. There’s another forum out there with a a few members that have took delivery of a new maverick. its “ MaverickTruckClub.com”.
Im not sure that anyone here or on its sister forum maverick truckin has gotten one yet. Im considering one but not enough to walk into a dealership & start asking about it. On paper it appears it would do everything I would need and be very efficient. My better half is even on board.

I built one in the B&P... basically a stripper hybrid with couple things like a full size spare... bed cover... floor mats and she wanted a Hitch for Her Truck.

We shopped it around a bit... and she was to order it. Didn't do it quick enough.

All hybrids were sold out and will be MY 2023 to place the order.

You can still order a non hybrid... but... suppliers are still behind and can't get parts to the assembly plant. Just a rough time for vehicles in general. Probably going to be another model year before things smooth out.

I think they put a hold on retail orders for a few months.


I just texted my buddy at the dealer, they can’t place a retail order until end of spring/ beginning of summer.

At this time, it is not possible to order any Maverick, they are all sold out for the 2022 model year. We have seen them come in 4 months, we have others who have had orders in for 6 months that are not yet scheduled. They are having the same component availability issues with Maverick as with all other models.

Best guess at this time is that the order bank for 2023 will open sometime this summer, and it will be the end of the year before you see any 2023 models.

I've recently seen a couple of them driving around in my area. They're not bad looking but like the Ridgeline and Avalanche that claim to be trucks, they're just SUVs with the rear back removed. Not to say they can't do what a truck can't do but having the bed part of the rest of the body doesn't allow for flex in a frame (probably unibody and I know the Avalanche has a frame) as a truck should with a load.
