Thinking of putting 4by4 master cylinder in to help push the new rear discs.. Is it necessary, ??

Do all 4by4 and 4by2 front discs the same size for 02'? and is disc thickness of 1.023 for both.. Sticky wasn't clear to me...

wouldnt you also need a new proportioning valve?

I am running the stock master with my disc brake 8.8. It is exactly the same as the explorer master as far as I know and it stops great. I don't believe there would be any difference between 2 and 4 wheel master's either. Have you checked p/n's?

Thats kinda what I thought. Usually it is the proportioning valve that would make difference when switching from drum to disc.

the bore is different for two wheel drive and fourwheel drive master cyclinder. I have been good without the new proportion valve.
