Pulled out of my driveway and suddenly heard a loud swooshing sound from
under the dash. I thought the heater core let go because I heard what sounded like water running under the dash. Looking down I saw large quantity of oil shooting into the interior from the top area of the trans hump (I have some holes in the hump to help me get to the upper trans bolts when I changed the clutch years ago!) Truck immediately dropped oil pressure. I was only about 30 yds away from my driveway, so I got it back home. I thought the oil sending unit may have busted, so I replace it. Filled the motor with oil, started it up, and shot all the oil out the back of the motor.
I know there is an oil passage plug on the back of the head. Any history of them coming out or rotting? Anything on the back of the block I don't know about? Anybody have any ideas?
Thanks
