My credo
A properly suspensioned Ranger can be safely airborne for up to 4 seconds at a time! =:O
... the window rolls DOWN just fine, no glitch or noise, but coming back up, about an inch from closed, "scritch-CLUNK", but then it catches and goes the rest of the way OK?

Any nuances or special tools involved in getting the hand crank and door panel off?

Thanks in advance.

If it id the same as my 92 the window crank will have a phillips or torq head screw holding it on. As for the door card you will need to find the screws holding it on, some my be hidden look before you pull to hard. Once you think you found all the screws pick up on the door card. It is not held on by the push clips.
