Searching here and the web has turned up nothing...
So I'll guess I have the answer BUT I'll ask this question because someone might have a resource I have not found.

Is there a Bell-housing that will allow a non-Ford Manual Transmission to be connected, such as a Scatter Shield, etc. Or am I fabricating a Bell-housing?

Which motor and tranz?

Some have removeable bellhousings...

OOP's
4.0L

AX15 Jeep, ROG, NV3500, haven't really decided, but to get the required adapter or no adapter (AX15) for the T/C I want; I need a different output shaft. It is easier for me to fab/machine a Bell-housing then machine up a custom Output shaft. But is there an easier option?

I know you can get conversion plates to mount an AX15 to a GM bellhousing, if you were looking to make one, you could get a belhousing off an FM146, which will bolt to the 4.0, and somehow get the AX15 to mount to that...

What about the clutch?

Clutches are easy, just a bit of mix and match or just have a 4.0L Disk made with whatever hub I need. I've done that many times.

If you can get the clutch easy, then I suggest getting one of your tranny's to bolt up to an FM145/6 bellhousing, as it will bolt up to your 4.0.

You would use a 4.0 Flywheel and a 4.0 starter on the FM belhousing as well...

Just gotta get the clutch/pressure plate and slave/clutch fork to work

Perfect! :yahoo:
Thanks and I can just use the Ford Clutch slave, etc.
Now to decide on the rest of the parts and then... :icon_welder:

And I mean a Fm145/6 off a 2.9 by the way..

The 4 bangers are different. :)

Yup!
The 4 bangers are actually easier...
But this is going into my 94 which has a solid 4.0L in it so going to a 2.3T is not what I want, I just need/want the other T/C...
Thanks again!

Yup:)
Why a different tranny?

Whats wrong with the M5OD and BW1354 combo?

Nobody (that I have found) makes an adapter to put any of the Ranger transmissions against the NP242 Case(jeep) I then looked into doubling and such as well as Klune, Black Box, etc and it is just going to be less BS to simply change the Transmission.
