I am posting this just FYI in case someone runs into the same problem I had. I recently tried (unsuccessfully) to fix the electric 4x4 in the 93 Ranger I inherited from my dad. It was far too gone to fix so I swapped in a manual transfer case I got from another member here. Everything was included to do the swap. It was awesome....until I tried to mount the shift linkage.
The manual shift linkage bolts to the transmission with one big bolt and one little bolt. The little bold included in my purchase just would not go into the little hole. It had a 13mm head and matched most of the other bolts used around the transfer case and transmission. It seems like it should have worked. To make a long story short, after trying out tons of different bolts I started looking through Ford parts catalogs and found out the little bolt is actually a standard 3/8 16 thread. After I figured that out everything went smoothly. Now I just have to order some locking hubs because it still isn't going into 4 wheel drive. Lucky me.
I hope this helps someone else out piecing together a manual transfer case swap. It is hard to find all the pieces together unless you run across one in a junk yard, which I couldn't do.
