I’m just wondering if I could use a v8 overhead cam engine and whatever parts I can from a gran marquis on my 86 ford ranger since the gran marquis is a ford as well?

Yes.
You will need a large hammer, and potentially a welder to make them fit.

The 4.6L will need different motor mounts, youll need to use the trans from the car, the wiring harness, probably fuel system parts, ECM, probably other things im not thinking of.

The 4.6L is a pretty rock solid engine but its basically as large as a 460 and in the panther cars/trucks basically made 302 power levels, espicially the early ones.

Truthfully a 351w would be less work, a 302 even less work then that, and a 460 about the same amount of work.

But good luck if you decide to try it.

Like rusty said. Your better off holding the grand marquis until your done so you have everything you’ll need.
