Manual to Auto conversion

Hi All
I have a 94 3.0 2wd. super cab. w/5 speed manual trans. Considering converting to an automatic. Has anyone done this? I heard the PCM is different for the auto trans? Thanks in advance for any info.

well it will be an a4ld auto trans...has to be from a 3.0. no others will work..and you will need to run trans cooling lines, ecu, wire harness...all kinds of crap..i recommend getting a donor car for every thing

Yeah plus the 3.0L with an auto I have heard is atrocious... I would just find another truck withthe 3.0L and auto to see how it drives plus it would be easier then swapping the trans.

3.0 with 31s and 3.73 is bad...hate to see what it is like with an auto....if you wre going the donor car rout....would be a real good time to get a 4.0 auto set up...them are a dime a dozen up here...well the 93-94 are at least
