Timeframe: Meeting the guy on Sunday
Background: I'm buying some Alcoa FX4 wheels off a guy that's parting out his 07 FX4. My shift knob was broken and attempted to have been glued back on the lever before I bought it. It pops off and my boot sags, so I'm thinking about replacing the shifter
Question: Will the shifter from the 07 fx4 work with my 01 XLT (4.0 4wd)?
I noticed all 01+ rangers with a 4.0 sohc have the M50D-R1HD transmissions, so I wasn't sure if I could just switch them. Any info would be appreciated!
