i picked up the newer stock header for $20 to replace my cast manifold on my 90. i did not notice a gasket on my truck or on the donor truck? is there supposed to be a gasket? or do i just bolt it back in with no gasket?

theres no gasket from the factory, the surfaces are machine matched. after unbolting you need to use a gasket for re-install.

There is a gasket,at least there is in any of the rebuild kits I ever got.Cheap insurance.

Good price...I paid $75 for mine a few years ago...but, then again, I thought that was cheap compared to a new one...

read again...there is no gasket between the block and exhaust manifolds from the factory, but you need to put one there if the manifold is ever removed from the engine (such as sluginxlt's case).
