Making the ttb into passenger drop

Thanks for the answers so far. I wasn't really concerned about sas vs the pass. side pumpkin as much as what would be needed to accomplish the feat.
Thanks,

Richard

Sounds like some of the TTB setups here weren't set up very well if someone experienced a better ride out of a solid axle... :icon_confused: If solid axles rode so great, I don't think we ever would've had this TTB thing at all, or any other IFS for that matter...

However I do agree that a passenger-drop TTB is gonna be waaaaaayyy more effort than it's worth on that Toyota. He'd be MUCH better off just beefing up the axle it has (or finding a '84 or '85 axle if his is too far gone) and gettting rid of the 19th-century horse-buggy suspension for a set of Jeep TJ coils with a link or radius arm setup if he's concerned about what the ride quality is going to be.

a lot of people sas w/ soft coils and compare that to ttb w/ ttb lift coils... and you can't compare 240 ppi coils to 445 ppi ones...

sas'ed vehicles can ride perfectly fine IMO, sure its not IFS smooth.... but you win some and you lose some.
