Hello everyone. I was wondering if anybody has an ideas on how much work will be involved in taking my 89 ranger(4X4) which has a bad chassis and taking all the 4wheel drivetrain and swapping it onto a 91 2wd longbox. Any help or advice is appreciated.

Lots and lots of work, but possible. How good are you with mechanics? You are going to need some talent. Lots of tools and time. I hope that helps. If you need specifics everything you need is available on this site. There are very knowledgeable people here.

You'll need to take the '89's engine crossmember over to the '91's frame as well, as the axle brackets will not fit otherwise.
