ok so i replaced my dry rotted wiring harness (dash & engine) with a nice one from a 87 ranger xlt.
i wired everything up and there was not one problem at all.
every single light, gauge, and indicator worked as it should, PERFECTLY.

then yesterday i dropped in a 2.9 into it, and after plugging everything in, something went horribly wrong and now nothing works right.

the rear lights dont work at all, when my hazards are on my glove box light flashes, when the running/parking lights are on, my front blinkers stay on, they dont blink, they just stay lit. if my headlights are on, the windshield wipers dont work, and when i have either blinker on, the indicator on the dash shows the opposite blinker is on, when i turn on the fan the dash backlight comes on and the high-beam indicator turns on, when my low beams are on the dash shows my high beams are on, and visa versa, and the rest of the dash doesnt light up at all.

i think i have it down to the headlamp/stoplamp circuit, i tore apart my dash and checked all the wires, checked all the fuses/relays, and i cannot see anything wrong. every plug is with its match, and theres no exposed wires as far as i can tell.

has anyone ever had a problem like this? if so, how did you fix it?
if there are any tricks to narrowing it down any further that would be great, and im willing to buy a brand new wiring harness if anyone sells them.
