Got a quick question for you guys...

Can i remove the MAF sensor from the OEM metal housing and use a MAF adapter kit (THIS) so I can make a ram/cold air intake, or is the OEM housing calibrated?

Also, what is the diameter of the throttle body?

Thanks in advance.

Your truck comes Stock with a cold air intake. It sucks air from directly behind the passenger side headlight.

The K&N kits only really change the sound of the truck. If anything they will make it so hotter air is sucked in for the engine compartment.

The K&N's best design is to separate you from your money.

Yeah, I'm aware of the OE ram/cold-air intake, but I'm making a much better one. I'm also doing it for the increased induction sound.

Anybody know the diameter of the throttle body?

Thanks again!

Not to mention they don't filter as well as a paper filter, nor do they flow as well (proven in a lab).

After seeing the lab results, I went out and removed the K&Ns from all of my vehicles

Tip: spray filter oil on your paper/OEM filter ;)

+1

It's called WWR (Wallet Weight Reduction)

The K&N intake won't flow any more air, since the stock filter/intake isn't what limits the airflow. The K&N intake will reduce the air velocity, which
screws up the MAF airflow measurement.
