This is the removed sensor from the housing. It shows the elements. Note the bottom one is caked with 217,000 miles of deposit.

The next one is after the cleaning. Note the elements are nice and fresh. You can see the contrast from the first picture.

Housing without the sensor. The mating surface for the sensor to housing had some interesting clear liquid. I tried to preserve it. Don't loose the O-ring in there.

Hope this will help others who decide to clean the MAF. You will need the tamper proof hex #20 to remove the MAF. One of my bolts had a grey epoxy from the factory on the top so I used vice grips (carefully) to losen it. I burned it off after I got it out. I used CRC MAF Cleaner and it works.
