MAF for 4.0


Unless you have a turbo or super charger on it the stock system flows more air than the engine is capable of using. Dont mess with it. Your trying to re-invent the wheel by replacing it with a triangle... I read your other post and theres alot of math and engineering your not understanding.

MAF samples a percentage of the air coming in, not the whole charge, and extrapolates oxygen content from that because it is a known percentage. Installing a "less restrictive" (pronounced "smaller") MAF will mean that it samples a smaller percentage and thus will throw off that calculation, unless you can go into the programming and fix the numbers.
