Very interesting about the starter. 1990-97 4.0 trucks are very easy to get starter access... literally 5 minutes to remove it maybe. Is the exhaust that different on a SOHC?
I remember it being terrible to replace on a 3.0 though. I think I did that on a '98 and found it very difficult to wiggle the starter around stuff.
