The R2 is from the full size trucks and will not bolt up to your 3.0L.
Also, you need an M5OD R1 from a 3.0L, and only a 3.0L as it has its own bell housing bolt pattern.

people run them behind 150hp 4.0L's with good success, and are ran in 300hp 2.3L turbo trucks without much issue. I don't know what they are rated for. keep fluid in them (the shift rail plugs are known to leak at times)
