I think I read it on here but I can't remember.
Back story: I'm going to swap in an Explorer 5.0 in my 97 ranger 4x4, but I want to have a manual transmission without putting my fist through the dash.
So, IIRC, the 97+ F-150 M5-R2 has the same shifter location as a Ranger. Right?
I know to use the 4.2's transmission because it has the same bellhousing pattern as a Windsor.
Also, were there any 4.2 F-150's that were four wheel drive? I think I saw somewhere that there were.
