I suppose overhaul is a bit inaccurate in this case, because the transmission is working fine, but since I'm pulling the engine out, I'll be 'freshening up' the transmission while I'm at it. I plan to replace the shifter bushings and replace the shift rail plugs with new freeze plugs, as well as a new clutch/PP, change the fluid, of course and possibly replace the slave cyl, although the one I have seems to be working fine right now.

I miss anything?

You're not touching the internals at all, so this isn't an overhaul in any sense.

But that's the right thing to do.

There are wear items inside the transmission, but if it's shifting fine, leave them alone.

a simple reply

I would replace the slave cylinder if you reuse the old it could last the life of the clutch but it might not, replace to be safe

I just did what you're proposing (Clutch, Freeze Plugs, Bushings, etc.). Just buy a clutch kit, it'll come with a new slave. I got mine for $165 at clutch city online, very nice deal for the price considering the slave is at least half that seperate.
